Actually they have a lot in common, they are both suitable for real life escape room game and party game; we can make Kids' Laser Array for both versions; we use green lasers for both versions, and even the functions are the same.
So What's the difference? Why we will produce two laser array that looks similar?
Regular version: Some game masters may specify the number of players at a time, which means the number of players in each game is fixed, in this case, regular version is enough to use.
5-mode version: For some secret room game or party game, number of players may vary each time, and the 5-mode laser maze can choose different modes according to the number of the players.
For example:
If there is only one player---you can choose one-player mode;
If there are two players---you can choose two-player mode;
If there are three players---you can choose three-player mode;
If there are four players---you can choose four-player mode;
If there are five players---you can choose five-player mode.
This would make the game much more flexible.
